GARDEN ROOM NEWS

4/3/2024 Over the next two weeks in the Garden Room we will be introducing our new story, Mr Wolfs pancakes. This story is about a wolf who is hungry and wants to make pancakes but none of his friends will help at all. We will be talking about how the wolf is feeling. Over the next few days, we will be taking the children to Tescos to buy ingredients, so the children will be able to look at the recipe sheets to see how to make pancakes. We have added the space station as this has come from the children’s interest. We will always try to follow a child’s interest in the nursery if we can. The sensory tray has flour in it with pans, containers and spoons for the children to fill and empty. The water tray has slices of orange and lemons in it. The children will be able to scoop them with ladles and put them in pans. We will be having oranges and lemons on our pancakes. We are going to be adding a shower curtain to our cupboard doors for the children to mark make on. They will be able to use rollers, large brushes and small brushes. To help develop their mark-making skills. When you go to do some shopping with your child, have a look at if your child can see the eggs, milk and flour that we will be going to buy.
