Leading Early Years Teaching for the Future
St Giles Nursery School Prides itself in being a Centre of Excellence for Early Years Practice.
We work in close partnership with local Universities, School Teaching Alliances, and the Local Authority Early Years Team to provide workshops and training sessions in Nursery.
Amy Stancer is a Local Leader of Education, working with the Alfreton Nursery School Alliance.
Karen Thompson, our Phase Leader in Nursery, delivers NCETM Early Years Mathematics Training to teachers from across the East Midlands.
Mrs Bostock, our Phase Leader in the Under 3s phase is completing the Lincolnshire Early Years training to provide support and guidance to local Practitioners delivering speech and language and mathematics.
We also welcome international early years teachers and speakers to Nursery for weekend events.
Workshops and courses we host and support are; ELKLAN, Science through Storytelling, Forest School, Creative Discipline, Storytelling with Props, Mathematics in the Early Years.
Our Nursery School enjoys the passion and reflection working with Trainee Teachers and Practitioners offers, we welcome students from a wide range of training providers from Level 2- PGCE level training
