Flowerpot Room

Over the next two weeks in the Flowerpot Room we will be doing all things Christmas! We have got lots of fun Christmas theme activities for the children to explore🎄

We will be decorating the Christmas tree with baubles, tinsel and fairy lights 🎅 which will help the children develop their fine motor skills and introduce new vocabulary.
We always have lots of fun exploring the paints and will be learning how to print using different Christmas shape cutters 🎄

The children will be learning new words by exploring the sensory baubles in our treasure baskets and to carry on exploring all the sensory baskets with sensory toys in. We have also put out some Christmas books for the children to look through and talk about to peers and familiar adults 🎄🌟🎅

We have also added some shredded paper in the tray and some animals for the children to find as they explore and hide them.

Our book for the next two weeks will be “Dear Santa” which is about unwrapping different sized presents 🎁 🎅 and looking under the flaps to see what it is. At the end there is a special touch and feel present which will be a surprise at the end! 🐈
