Week commencing 15/09/2025

In the Flowerpot room, we have watched what the children have been interested in and enhanced the room.

We noticed how so many of the children loved pouring and emptying the buckets with the spoons and some children took the cars over to play. So this week, we have put in cars & trucks to encourage this play and kept in the spoons 🚗 🥄
In the sensory tray, we have shaving foam and some sensory pebbles with different textures such as bumps and lines to feel as the children were using these a lot in the playdough.

We have kept the mark making and chalk board with lots of resources, such as pens, pencils, wax crayons and chalks so they can explore for themselves and make marks freely.

In the playdough area, we have added some animal cutters as we noticed last week the children were repeating some animal sounds from playing with the farm animals.
We have continued with our treasure baskets as these were a big hit last week and many of the children were accessing these 🐖🐑🐕

Our focussed enhancement over the next two weeks is the painting easel, where the adult will parallel paint alongside the children to encourage them to join in at the easel, making gross movements with the paint brush encouraging round and round, up and down and side to side🖌️🎨
