GARDEN ROOM NEWS

Welcome back everyone after our Christmas break. Over the next few days we are going to be welcoming new friends into our room.
We will be introducing them to our routines and all the lovely learning we have in the Garden Room.

We will be telling the story of The Three Bears 🐻🐻🐻. We will be using lots of props and be tasting porridge. I wonder if we like it? It may be too hot, too cold, or it might be just right.
In this story, some of the keywords are big, small, hot, cold bed, broken, chairs, bowl and eaten.

On our small world top, we have added a house 🏠 people and furniture. We have also added 3 bears 🐻 🐻🐻. The children will be able to use their imagination as they play together. We have also put a book near the house which is about Goldilocks and the three bears.
As it has snowed, we will be adding snow to our water tray for the children to explore.

We will be using rollers and brushes to paint on different shaped paper.

In our house we have added cushions and lots of winter books. The children will be able to sit together and look at books.

On our light box we have added some nuts and bolts. The children have to wind the nut off the bolt. This is a little challenging, and the children have to persevere with this activity. I have added a video so you can see how repeating an activity and not giving up straight away really helps a child grasp what they have to do and be so proud of their achievements.

We are hoping to have a fun-filled two weeks of learning in the Garden Room.☺️
